An exhibition assessing the impact on Britain’s cultural landscape of perhaps the most important artistic and intellectual movement of the twentieth century. This retrospective encapsulated the fascinating breadth of the British Modern Movement in the fields of architecture, interiors, painting, illustration and sculpture. With an installation designed by Lord Norman Foster, the exhibition encompassed over 300 exhibits and offered the first integrated overview of artistic, political and social life in Britain during the 1930s.
